Privacy Policy at MistTrek
MistTrek is an independent game database and map project. We aim to collect only the data needed to run accounts, saved game tools, and site security.
Information We Collect
You can browse MistTrek without an account. If you sign in with Google, Discord, or Steam, we store your provider user ID, public display name, email and avatar if provided. We never receive your provider password. Cloudflare may also process standard request logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time. A session cookie keeps you signed in.
Saved Game Data
When signed in, you may save builds, wishlists, favorites, progress, and other game-specific data to your account. Saved data is private unless you choose to publish it; published builds or game data can be viewed by others. When you are not signed in, participating game portals may store saved data only in your browser's local storage on that device.
How We Use and Share Data
We use data to provide sign-in, sync saved content, display your dashboard and published content, prevent abuse, fix bugs, and secure the service. MistTrek uses Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2, and CDN services. Google, Discord, and Steam process data only when you choose their sign-in methods. We do not sell personal information, display advertising, or share personal information with ad networks.
Retention and Your Choices
Account and saved game data remain until you delete them or your account. Session tokens expire automatically, and operational logs are retained only as needed for security and debugging. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your account data, unpublish shared content, and revoke sign-in access through your provider.
Security and Children's Privacy
We use HTTPS, access controls, and secure session handling, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. MistTrek is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
Scope and External Links
This policy applies to MistTrek and its game-specific subdomains, such as wow.misttrek.com. External websites linked by MistTrek have their own privacy practices.
